Where can I view and edit an existing Rent Collection?

To view details of an existing Rent Collection for a property/unit:

  • Navigate to the Rent Collection tab

  • Under the ‘Active’ lease tab, click on the property containing the Rent Collection you want to view and edit

From the 'Rent Collection Details' screen, you can:

  1. View all invoices by selecting the blue 'View All Invoices' button

  2. View Tenant details

  3. Edit the Rent Collection terms

  4. Update the receiving bank account

  5. 'End & Archive' the Rent Collection. Select this option located at the bottom of the page

Editing the Rent Collection Terms (3. above)

After navigating to the 'Rent Collection Terms' section of a renters lease terms, from the steps above, you can edit some terms.

What details can you change when editing the Rent Collection Terms:

  • Lease End Date: You can adjust the lease end date to extend the lease, or renew an expired lease

  • Rent Amount: You can adjust it for future invoices

  • Recurring Fees: You can add or remove them for future invoices

  • Late Fee: You can add or remove it for future invoices

What details can NOT be changed when editing the Rent Collection Terms::

  • Lease Start Date: This cannot be changed

  • Lease Type: It cannot be switched from a Fixed lease term to a Month-to-Month lease or vice-versa

  • 'Rent is Due On' Date: This cannot be altered

Saving Changes:

  • Once you've made the necessary edits, you will need to select the date from which you want the changes to take effect

  • Then select 'Save Changes'

  • You'll have the opportunity to review the changes before confirming

  • After confirming, select 'Save Changes' again

Tenant Notifications:

  • Tenants assigned to this rent collection will receive an email notification about the changes made.

  • If Auto-Pay is enabled for the tenant, the changes will automatically disable it.

    • We will notify the tenant about this change, and they must re-enable Auto-Pay to continue paying invoices automatically.

      • No other changes on the tenant side are required.
