Any card related activity (purchase, ATM withdrawal etc.) gets evaluated for fraud by Visa. If a specific card transaction is marked as high fraud risk, Visa will decline the transaction and block the card. In this case, Visa will reach out to you to confirm transactions in one or more of the following ways:

  1. Visa sends an email with recent transactions from the email address [email protected]. You can either confirm or deny the activity detailed in this email.

  2. Visa sends a text message to confirm recent transactions. You can either confirm or deny the activity by responding to the text message.

  3. If you haven’t responded to previous communication, Visa will call you and asks you to verbally confirm if the suspicious activity is legitimate or fraudulent.

  4. If you do not respond to email, text or initial phone call, Visa will continue to call for 1 business day.

Depending on the outcome, we will either reactivate your card or keep your card closed. If you require another card, please reach out to Baselane Support at [email protected], from Mon-Fri 8 AM - 8 PM EST. Call us at +1 (888) 586-1618 from Mon-Fri 9 AM - 4 PM EST.
