Now that I have migrated, what do I need to do?

This article goes over critical action items you as the customer, should take to ensure a smooth transition. For answers to questions you may have about the migration and the timeline of the migration, please visit this article.

So you have Migrated!

If you are part of the group that migrated on November 27th OR you have selected to migrate live after November 27th, once you have made the move, you will need to do the following to ensure there is limited disturbance to your banking transactions.

Do you have mortgage payments coming out of your Baselane account?

With the migration, your account numbers will be new. This means you will need to update your information with your provider to ensure a smooth transition and that no payments are missed. Once your account has been migrated, follow the steps below to get started.

  1. Locate your new account number by going to the 'Baselane Banking' page and clicking on the arrow located on the right side of your Baselane Banking account. This will take you to a screen where you can see your main account and any associated virtual accounts. Click on the ‘Account Details’ button to see your routing number and more details.

  2. Reach out to your Mortgage provider and update the banking information as soon as possible.

Do you have Utility or regular bill payments coming out of your Baselane account?

With the migration, your account numbers will be new. This means you must update your information with your utility providers to ensure a smooth transition and that no payments are missed. Once your account has been migrated, you can follow the steps below to get started.

  1. Locate your new account number by going to the 'Baselane Banking' page and click on the arrow located on the right side of your Baselane Banking account. This will take you to a screen where you can see your main account and any associated virtual accounts. Click on the ‘Account Details’ button to see your routing number and more details.

  2. Reach out to your Utility companies and other providers to update the banking information as soon as possible.

Do you use your Baselane account with 3rd party apps like Venmo or Stripe?

To ensure no disruption in any service, connect your new Baselane Banking account with 3rd party software such as Venmo, Stripe, etc.

  • PayPal account: Go to your Wallet and click 'Link a bank' and follow the instructions on the screen.

  • Venmo account: Click 'Add Bank' and follow the instructions on the screen.

  • CashApp account: Click on your profile and select 'Linked Banks' and follow the instructions on the screen to either add a bank or replace your existing linked bank account.

Do you have Baselane virtual cards connected to your digital wallet?

We recommend that you remove any existing Baselane banking virtual cards that have been added to your Google/Apple wallet, and connect your new virtual cards. To locate the details of your new virtual cards, please follow the steps listed in this article.

What about the physical debit card?

All old physical debit cards will no longer be usable once the migration is complete. Baselane will automatically issue out new cards to the mailing address listed on file. Please be sure to keep your profile details up to date. You will receive your new physical debit card(s) within 10 business days after the migration begins. Virtual cards will be available instantly.

Activate your new debit card: Once you receive your new physical debit card in the mail, activate the card by following the instructions listed in this article.

I am collecting rent into my Baselane banking account from my Property Manager/Software, what happens now?

If you have rent being collected into your Baselane banking account from a Property Manager or other software, you will need to update the banking details with them as well.

  • To locate your new account number, go to the 'Baselane Banking' page and click on the arrow located on the right side of your Baselane Banking account. This will take you to a screen where you can see your main account and any associated virtual accounts. Click on the ‘Account Details’ button to see your routing number and more details.

  • Reach out to the affected parties and update the banking information as soon as possible.
